They talk about autoworker unions or others that go on strike over pay disputes or benefits. But this time, as this article so clearly points out, it is the capital which drives the economy in America that has gone on strike in the 3 months since the election. (Read the article here) Businesses and individuals who have created many of the jobs in the last 20 years are now cutting wages and jobs in order to make it through this recession. Times are tough, no one would argue that, but the way that this unexperienced president and Congress is going about trying to 'solve' our problems is only bond to make these much, MUCH worse before they (ever?) get better. And this says it all:
"His stimulus package is little more than a down payment on a socialist economy. It raises taxes on the successful, brings back the welfare state, hands out favors and cash to friends of one political party, while imposing government control over the entire free market in ways that just a year ago would have seemed unimaginable."
These are very trying times for us as a country and as individuals. Do not let the American spirit die in the arms of this socialist agenda.
